Microsoft Discontinues Support for Windows XP, Vista
February 26, 2018
Are you still using Windows XP or Vista, then this news should hit you hard because Microsoft has discontinued support for this OS. I will be talking about the reasons why this was discontinued as we proceed.
According to a source, Apple will be revealing a security change on 25th May this year. This will be affecting the first generation unit of Apple, Windows XP and Windows Vista as these OS will have access to the iTunes Store.
However, Windows XP and Window Vista users can still continue using the old version iTunes although without support from Apple. Below is what Apple disclosed as regards to this development.
“If you have a Windows XP or Vista PC, your computer is no longer support by Microsoft and you are not able to use the latest version of iTunes.”
In other words, users won’t be able to make purchases from the iTunes store or redownload previous purchases on your Windows XP or Vista PC.
You have until 25th of May to upgrade to a higher version, that is Windows 7, 8, or 10 to be able to make Apple purchases.
