Some time ago, the Central Bank of Nigeria instructed all bank account holders to register for their Bank Verification Number(BVN).
This was made compulsory and those who didn’t comply with the order could not access their account.
The BVN is a unique 11-digit number that varies from customer to customer.

1. To check your BVN on MTN, simply dial *565*0#.
2. This method is applicable to all banks in Nigeria. A service fee of N20 will be charged.
