MTN Nigeria Reduces Volume of Monthly Data Plans (October 2017)

Sadly, MTN has reduced the volume of data plans. This was revealed via a text message sent to virtually all MTN users yesterday. The new volume is ridiculous. This time around when we sought for cheaper plans.  This is indeed a bad news.

If you use MTN you should know about the rate of data zapping. This is the headache we MTN users have, although some of us are addicted to this network due to their wide network coverage and crazy browsing speed. But meanwhile, they should have done something better to its loyal customers than adding more salt to our wounds.

As from 7th October 2017, which is 2 days from now, you will be buying data plans at the costliest price. N1000 which initially goes for 1.5GB will now give you 1GB +500MB for night browsing (1am-7am). But chill, who the night browsing epp? I'm pained honestly.

Below is the message sent officially by MTN Nigeria
Y'ello! From Oct, 7, we're modifying the 1.5GB plan to give you 1GB +500MB bonus only at night (1am-7am)when you buy or renew

MTN NEW DATA PLANS OCTOBER 2017
>> Like I said earlier, If you subscribe for the monthly plan which N1000 gives 1.5GB, you will now get 1GB for 24/7 browsing and 500MB which can be used only at night (1am-7am)

>> This also affected the N2000 plan. Initially you get 3.5GB but now you get 2.5GB and 1GB for night browsing (1am-7am)

Now See This.. Assuming you subscribe for the N1000 data plan, and exhaust the 1GB in a day that is before midnight, you won't be able to use the 500MB allocated for night browsing which for me is total nonsense.

Well, I will still provide you guys with the cheapest data plans for other networks. You can check out 9Mobile dataplans as well as Airtel cheap data plan (3GB for N1000). You can also purchase TSTV and get 20GB for browsing (Wi-Fi Enabled) on your first subscription which costs N3000. You can see more about TSTV here.

This new MTN data plan 2017 is a complete joke! What's your say?
